John Dean May Obituary
John Dean May, 95, died on May 3rd.

Born in Akron, he graduated from Ohio University and Akron Law School. He had a solo law practice in Barberton, Ohio from 1943 to 1987. He was an active Rotarian and Board Member of Great Northern Saving & Loan, Barberton Citizens Hospital, and Daughters of Divine Charity. He also was Chairman and Board Member of Summit County, Ohio, Board of Elections. John, along with his father and siblings, built and founded Hudson Springs Park.

John was an avid outdoorsman and traveled extensively with his wife of 67 years, Marilyn (nee Resley).

He is survived by Marilyn; his children, Christy (Victor) Alibrandi, Cindy (Neil) Arnberger, John, Junior (Vicki), Bruce (Linda), Amy (Len) Everette, and David (Tammy); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

No person was ever a stranger to John, who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on June 2, 2012 at Guardian Angels Church, 1676 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd, Copley, OH 44321. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent Church Walter Scholarship Fund, 15 N. Maple St., Akron, OH 44303.
