Joseph W. Conway Obituary
Joseph W. Conway, 89, a longtime resident of Northampton Twp., passed away July 8, 2013.

He proudly served his country as a member of the Army Air Force during World War II. Prior to joining the military, he attended Hudson High School and was very proud to have played football with the great Dante Lavelli. He was a Master Brick Mason through the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local #7 for over 30 years and retired as a Housing Inspector with the City of Cuyahoga Falls. He was also a life member of the VFW, Post 1062 and was a life long parishoner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was one of a kind; a man with conviction and determination. He had a great capacity for love and a wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed. He leaves behind his wife, Yvonne, who he loved and adored and with whom he celebrated over 64 years of marriage; his children, Joseph, Michelle, Connie, Tim (Eileen), and Kim; his grandchildren, Kellie (Phil), Sean, Ryan (Nancy), Nathan, Meghan (Scott), Jon and Joe; his great-grandchildren, Tyler, Emily, and Coleton; his son-in-law, Stan; his sister, Mary Jane; his brother, Edward; and many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine; his parents, Louise and John; his sisters, Helen and Margaret-Ann.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main), 552 N. Main St., Akron, with Father Neil Crosby officiating. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
