Leonard "Buzz" Buzzelli passed away March 25, 2013. |
Leonard was born on October 24, 1923 and was a member of St. Eugene Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Joseph and Assunta Buzzelli; brother, John Buzzelli; and stepson, Jack L. Foutty.
Leonard is survived by his devoted wife, Nettie M. Buzzelli; two stepdaughters, Judy Foutty-Park and Janice Foutty-Badini; six stepgrandchildren; thirteen stepgreat-grandchildren; one stepgreat-great-grandson; three daughters and one son from a previous marriage, Mary, Barbara, Christina and Steve; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Olga "Mickie" Maguire, plus a host of nieces and nephews.
Leonard was a Staff Sergeant, serving under General Patton during World War II. While he was in the service, Leonard had an eleven-piece band. He sang and played the trumpet for military dances and events. After the war, Leonard organized his own band (The Buzz Group) playing locally and in the Cleveland/Canton area. He worked for Goodyear Aerospace, retiring after 33-1/2 years of service as a tool and die maker. He was an avid golfer and bowler. Leonard also belonged to the Knights of Columbus #2362 and the VFS #3383.

Per his request, there will be no calling hours. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, at St. Eugene Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
