CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Thomas Robert Lucien, 89, passed away February 17, 2013. |
He was born in Akron and was a life-long Cuyahoga Falls resident. Mr. Lucien was a Purple Heart veteran serving in the U.S. Army in World War II, going on to retire from Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed bingo, playing golf, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his son, Michael; brother, Bob; survived by loving wife of 58 years, Bonita; children, Karla (John) Jones, Thomas H., Kathy (John) Grof; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call two hours prior to a 2 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday, February 20 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. Rev. Ross Slaughter will be officiating. A private entombment will be held at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Attn.
