William Blystone Shultz

William Blystone Shultz, age 90, died December 3, 2013.

He was born in Mason-town, Pa., to William B. and Virginia Shultz, and was a Wadsworth resident for 27 years. He retired from First Energy in 1985.

Bill was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and served in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of VFW Post 1089 and The American Legion, Post 0170, and was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and wife, Jo Anne. He is survived by sons, Brad (Marsha) Shultz of Indianapolis, Ind., and Edward Shultz of Lakewood, Ohio; grandchildren, Chris (Katy) Shultz and Rebecca Shultz; and sister-in-law, Rose Shultz.

Bill was a devoted and loving husband to Jo Anne (Thomas), who he married in 1985, and is survived by her children; Larry (Katie) Thomas, Barbara (David) Sabett, Donna (Rick) Mullins, Janet (David) Sattler, and Beth (Thomas V.) McAlonan.

Services will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Cox Funeral Home, 1376 High St., Wadsworth, Ohio at 1 p.m., Rev. John Wittman officiating. The family will receive friends at 12 p.m. until time of service. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio. Memorials may be made to Rittman Christian Church or Disabled American Veterans.
