William Charles Johnson, "Bill", went home to the Lord on December 31, 2013.
He lived the majority of his life in the Coventry area with his wife, Nancy Johnson of 30 years, where he was lovingly known by his grandchildren as "Bubba". He was a veteran of the US Navy and served in the Vietnam War. Bill loved his family and loved his cars; he proudly displayed his T-Bucket at local shows, and enjoyed spending time and cracking jokes with his children, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Arthur Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Coventry Township; mother, Gladys Crane; children, Gregory (Amanda) Hite, Richard (Karen) Hite Jr.; grandchildren, Christina, Evan, Joseph, Avery, Robbie, and Katie Hite; brothers and sisters, Sheila (Vince) Hugus , Deb Johnson, David (Toni) Johnson and Karin (Rod) Kelley; nieces, nephews, and their families.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at House of Eberhardt Funeral Home, 472 W. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., (Rt 619) at 3 p.m., Pastor Eileen Woyen officiating. Family and friends will be received Saturday, from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
