Feb 6, 1929 - Sept 28, 2013 LUTHER Our country, and the states of Kansas, Colorado, and Oklahoma lost a longtime Veteran. Retired Chief Warrant Officer Charles A. Endres Sr., after battling cancer, went on his last mission, going to a place of peace and comfort. He began his service for his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He felt compelled with patriotism and enlisted at the age of 16 years old. He also was in the service of his country during the Korean conflict and served two tours in the Republic of Vietnam. He has served honorably in the U.S. Navy; U.S. Air Force; and lastly, the U.S. Army, from which he retired. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, LaJune Endres, of Luther, OK; his son, Gerry Endres and his wife Cindy, of Seminole, OK; his son, Michael Seidel and his wife Terri, of Winfield, KS; his daughter, Vicky Morton-Seidel, of Bartlesville, OK; and Pete Seidel and his wife Gay, of Arkansas City, KS; as well as nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters: Ada White, of Olympia, WA; and Lina VanBuskirk, of Newport Beach, OR. The services will be 2 p.m. on Saturday the 26th at Brown's Funeral Parlor, 105 S. Main St., Luther, OK 73054, (405) 277-7777.
