June 5, 1936 - June 21, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Charles B. Ochoa, 77, of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 21, 2013. Born in Beaumont, California to Charlie Ochoa and Marina Mendoza Ochoa on June 5, 1936. Charles is survived by his wife Jerre of 50 years, daughters Sarah Mantooth - husband Don, Susan Kimsey - husband Dale, Diane Dowd - husband Odell, Deborah Ochoa - fiance Mike Knox, son Christopher Ochoa - wife Ruby, 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, godfather and friend to all. Charles was most proud of his family, the Marine Corps and his active participation in the Oklahoma City Elks Lodge #417. Charles was most happy when surrounded by family and always put family first. Charles was extremely proud of his time in the Marine Corps and over the years, he donated a lot of his time to the Oklahoma City Marine Corps League - helping out and supporting their initiatives and events. One of Charles' personal goals was to become the Exalted Ruler for the Oklahoma City Elks Lodge #417 in the year 2000 - he worked diligently throughout the years and met his goal. It was one of his happiest and proudest times in his life. Charles worked for the U.S. Government for over 30 years. He was on loan to the United Nations through the FAA and traveled extensively overseas. He lived in 5 countries and had visited over 45 countries throughout his life. Charles will be missed but always remembered. His essence will be carried on forever by all who knew his kindness and loving heart. Memorial Services will be held at Guardian West Funeral Home on Saturday, June 29th, at 2:00pm.
