Dec. 7, 1924 - Aug. 19, 2014 EDMOND C.J. Halley, beloved father, grandfather and friend passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 19, surrounded by family and friends. C.J. was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on December 7, 1924 and attended Shawnee High School. He received undergraduate degrees in physics and chemistry from Oklahoma Baptist University and later received a graduate degree in physics from the University of Oklahoma. He was a longtime member of Shawnee First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and taught 2nd grade Sunday School for many years. After serving in the Navy during World War II, he joined the faculty at Oklahoma Baptist University where he taught physics for 35 years. He touched countless lives and influenced many people. He was always noble, kind and compassionate. Not only was he a lifetime teacher, but also a lifetime learner. He was always curious and interested in everything. C.J.'s interest in science and physics led him to a second career as an accident reconstructionist. His keen mind and great ability to express his opinions to a jury resulted in C.J. being sought as an expert witness in litigation by numerous attorneys and companies for over 40 years. Through this work he developed friendships with attorneys and clients which lasted throughout his life. C.J. was preceded in death by his loving wife, Su Miller Halley, his parents, Clay and Offie Halley and sister, Frances Halley Tooman. He is survived by his daughters, Anne Halley, Sarah Halley Myers and husband John and his 3 grandchildren who were the joys of his life, Jonathan Clay Myers, Laura Halley Myers and Matthew Miller Myers. Jesus Christ was the center of his life and he has now found eternal peace and has been reunited with loved ones. We would like to thank his doctors, nurses and caregivers who have taken care of him these last years.Services will be held at First Baptist Church, Shawnee at 11:00am Saturday, August 23, 2014, with Rev.
