"C.V." SpencerNov. 23, 1932 - May 8, 2013 YUKON Corneilous Vandecarr "C.V." Spencer, 80, was born Nov. 23, 1932 in Fay, OK to Simon and Jewell (Spain) Spencer. He passed away May 8, 2013 at his home in Yukon. He married Connie Smith on June 30, 1952 in Watonga, OK, sharing almost 61 years of marriage. C.V. served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked his entire career for the FAA retiring as a GS13 Efficiency Expert in 1979. C.V. was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Servant, where he also served on the board. He loved farming on the family farm in Fay, OK. C.V. loved golfing with his buddies and for many years spent January and February in Maui, HI where he further enjoyed his game of golf and the beauty of the islands. He also enjoyed his home at Lake Eufaula and traveling the world with a group from Church of the Servant. More than anything, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. C.V. is survived by his wife, Connie Spencer; son, Chris Spencer and wife Brenda; daughters, Cathy Mahan and husband Danny and Kim Hill and husband James; grandchildren, Robbie Shelton, Christian and Colin Spencer, Spencer and Nikki Hill, Danyail Carder and Emilie Fallwell; great-grandchildren, Emma and Henry Shelton, Dax and Dagan Langley, and Tanner and Haylee Fallwell; and numerous other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Sat., May 11, 2013 at the United Methodist Church of the Servant in Oklahoma City. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. at Liberty Cemetery in Fay, OK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the , www.heart.org or the , www.diabetes.org.
