Aug 10, 1956 - Dec 20, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Don left this world on December 20, 2013. He was a kind, caring, and loving man, who had no enemies; only friends. Don was born on August 10, 1956, to Donald Blalock and Sharron Reese Blalock. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Blalock. Don is survived by his mother, Sharron Blalock Rector; his brother, Corey Jameson; uncle, Jerry Reese & wife Janice; all of Oklahoma City; stepsisters: Lisa Rector Berry & her husband Bill, of Bella Vista, AR; and Lynn Rector Ramer & husband Ronnie, of Lake Eufaula; uncle, Tom Blalock, of Edmond; and aunt, Janice Campbell, of Murchison, TX. Don graduated from John Marshall High School. He attended college in south Florida while living in St. Petersburg. He also attended Rose State College in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Don joined the Air Force shortly after high school. He served as an aircraft maintenance technician at Blytheville Air Force Base in Arkansas. His favorite job was serving as a ship's mate on a 3-mast schooner, the 148-foot St. Christopher. A memorial service will be held Monday, January 6 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Church of the Servant, located at 14343 N. MacArthur, Oklahoma City, Phone 721-4141. Don will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery near Fort Sill, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army, 311 S.W. 5th, OKC 73109.
