April 15, 1929 - July 12, 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY Dwight D. Bergren, 85, passed away July 12, 2014. He was born April 15, 1929 in Leonardville, KS to Reuben and Dorothy (Johnson) Bergren. During his life, Dwight served his country in the US Army during the Korean War, and was employed with the FAA at Wiley Post Airport, where he worked as a pilot and an air traffic controller. On August 21, 1955, he married the love of his life, LaJean (Reed) Bergren. He enjoyed reading in his free time, and loved to travel anywhere new. Known as his family's "Mr. Fix-It," Dwight was always working on a project. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, LaVerne Bergren. Dwight is survived by his loving wife, LaJean Bergren; son, Brett Reed Bergren and wife Denise; daughter, Denise Hampton-O'Neil; grandchildren, April Hampton and husband Michael, Hayley Hampton, Kirstin Bergren, Johnathan Bergren, and Madison Bergren; great grandchildren, Landon Riley Hampton, Isabella Marie Hampton, Bentley Reed Hampton, and Keagan Knox Bergren; and brother, Jack Bergren.
