GreearJune 28, 1924 - July 24, 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY Ray, as known to his family and friends, 90, was called to his Heavenly home July 24, 2014. He was born June 28, 1924, in Winters, TX to Elmer John and Ruth (Hambrick) Greear. He was a World War II veteran, proudly serving his county in the United States Army. Elmer was employed by FAA as an aviation technician and later, served as Chief of Avionics to a company in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Elmer was a faithful and devoted charter member of Knob Hill Baptist Church for 54 years and very involved wherever he could be of service. He enjoyed fishing, church and tinkering with electronics. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lucile; sisters, Juanita, Mary, and Johnny; and brother, Scott; he is survived by his sons, Harold Ray & wife Barbara, Ronald Dewey & wife Marilyn, and John Larry & wife Susie; daughter, Cheryl Ann Coleman & husband Rick; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Viewing will be 4-8 p.m. on Saturday and 12-8 p.m. on Sunday. Services to celebrate his life will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2014, at Knob Hill Baptist Church, 2700 SW 59th St., OKC, with burial following at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
