Dec 5, 1931 - Feb 6, 2013 MIDWEST CITY James W. Brantner, 81, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away February 6, 2013. He was born December 5, 1931, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Jim served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and with the U.S Marine Corps in the Vietnam War, retiring in 1980 as a Sergeant Major with over 30 years of service to his country. After his military service, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service and retired after 15 years. Jim contributed numerous hours over the years to the St. Vincent De Paul organization and is a 4th degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. James is survived by his wife, Frances; his son, David and wife Angela, his son, Steven and wife Barbara. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Oriana, Eddy and Emily; his great-grandchildren, Talon and Ashton; and many other extended family members. A Vigil will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2013, with Mass at 10 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2013, at St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church, Midwest City, OK.
