Oct. 20, 1943 - Aug. 26, 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY Beloved Daughter, Sister and FriendMarilyn passed away Tuesday evening after a brave battle with cancer. She was born in Fort Worth, TX to Bill Marian Perkins and Sybil Juanita Freeman. Her birth father was a Naval Aviator and died serving in World War II when Marilyn was 3 months old. In 1946, her mother married Edwin Merle Stinnett in Lawton, OK who raised her as his own. She graduated from Lawton High School and attended Oklahoma Baptist University and New York University. She became a stock broker and financial advisor enjoying a successful career working in Chicago, New York and Oklahoma City. Her fashion modeling included shows for Balliets and photo in Vogue magazine. She was an accomplished pianist and throughout her life shared her talent by playing for churches she attended. She was a member of All Souls Episcopal Church. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Edwin Stinnett and Edna of Oklahoma City; a sister, Kimberly Woodson of Leesburg, VA; two nieces, Rachel Woodson of Leesburg, VA and Noelle Frye of Lawton, OK; and a nephew, Andrew Woodson of Leesburg, VA. Memorial service will be held at All Souls Episcopal Church, 6400 N. Pennsylvania Ave., OKC, OK 73116, on Friday, Aug. 29th, at 10:30 a.m. with reception following in the Parish Hall. Memorial contributions may be sent to All Souls.
