Nov 12, 1923 - Dec 12, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Mary Ann was born in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Ann Ussery, James (Lynn) Kendall Clark, John (Tammy) Clark, Donna Marie Courter; stepson, James V Clark; and her sister, Mable Evelyn Harrison. She was preceded in death by son, Joseph Lynn Micknal; siblings, Craig Stapp, James W. Stapp, Allie Mae Fitzgerald, Robert Menefee Stapp, JB Stapp, and Clytie Lynn Calton. Mary Ann traveled the world as a military spouse and began service to her country during WWII at Tinker Air Force Base as a "Rosie the Riveter" working on bombers. She lived in Tripoli, Libya; Wiesbaden, Germany; Paris, France; Chateauroux, France; San Antonio and Big Spring, TX; Clovis, NM; Dayton, OH, and Lawton, OK. After raising her family, she worked for and retired from the Oklahoma City utility department. She volunteered answering mail after the Oklahoma City bombing. She was a three-time survivor of Breast Cancer. She is also survived by numerous grand and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her love of children, her gift of giving and Oklahoma hospitality were gifts her children and grandchildren, family and friends will cherish forever. Services were Monday, December 16 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Pauls Valley.
