• "What a great guy! I had the pleasure of working next to GH..."

November 16, 1927 - July 23, 2014 BETHANY Guadalupe H. "G.H." Flores, much loved by his family, passed into God's warm embrace on July 23, 2014. G.H. was born November 16, 1927, the identical twin son of Panfillo and Soledad Flores. Guadalupe and Francisco (Frank) were the oldest of their four children. He grew up in Premont, TX and graduated from Falfurrias HS in May 1948. After high school, he joined the Air Force, serving as Staff Sergeant and was honorably discharged from the service in 1952. Both he and Frank then moved to OKC and he began a long and satisfying career as a civilian employee of Tinker Field AFB, retiring in 1986. After retirement, he returned back to country life with a new hobby in caring for numerous horses, along with devoting his time to family functions and time with the grandchildren. During a holiday visit home in 1956, he met Leonor Vasquez, a relative by marriage of his cousin. It must have been love at first sight because two short in person visits later and many letters, he proposed and they were married in June 1957. On June 22, they celebrated 57 years of committed, loving wedded life.G.H. is survived by his wife, Leonor; his daughter, Melissa (Curtis); son, Steve (Lisa); daughter, Julie (J.R.); and Ilua, his devoted daughter and care giver of 20 years; six grandchildren, Stephanie (Brandon), Ian, Jacob, Olivia, Kristina, Caroline; three precious great-grandchildren, Emma, Quinn and coming in March 2015, another great-granddaughter or great-grandson.
