Nov 14, 1922 - June 25, 2014 MIDWEST CITY Ray, age 91, went to meet with his Savior on June 25, 2014. He was a WWII veteran of the Army Air Corps. In 1950, Ray married his sweetheart, Vaunda (Smith), of Coalgate, Oklahoma. Ray was a public educator until 1963. He also worked 23 years for the Oklahoma City-County Health Department. Ray was a family man who adored his loving wife, his children, grandchildren, and all family members. His love for the Lord was evident by his daily living. Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Vaunda; his son, Ray Jr.; brother, Eugene; and parents. He is survived by his daughters, Kay Carroll and Gloria Knight; his grandchildren, Tracy Christian, Doug Puckett and wife Andrea, and Tiffany LaCaze and husband Mark; great-grandchildren, Billy Hart and Peggy, Glenn Hart, Heather Puckett, Brayden Puckett, and Katelyn LaCaze. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the . Services will be held on Tuesday, July 1 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Midwest City. Viewing is at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home in Midwest City.
