August 2, 1948 - December 2, 2012 YUKON Tricia Anne Bilcik, of Yukon, passed away on December 2, 2012. "Trish" was born August 2, 1948, in Salina, Kansas, to Ray and Marie Haggart. She graduated with degrees in psychology and physical education from the University of Kansas, where she was a Pi Beta Phi Sorority member. She received a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Northern Iowa, where she was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. Trish then taught high school students in Shawnee Mission, Kansas and Ft. Smith, Arkansas. In 1977 she met Mike, the man with whom she'd share the rest of her life. They married and moved to Oklahoma City where she began a distinguished career at Oklahoma City Community College. She taught numerous psychology courses, counseled students, and eventually served as the Acting Dean of the Social Science Division. She retired in 2010 after 26 years.Trish will always be remembered for her dignified demeanor, wise counsel, and unfailing moral compass. Full of curiosity, she was a voracious reader, golfer, walker, scooter rider, and unwavering fan of Sooner football and Jayhawks and Thunder basketball. She was an active member of numerous civic and charitable organizations including: Al-Anon, Stephen Ministries, and the Centennial Rodeo Opry. She was also a longtime member of United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd. Both personally and professionally, Trish touched an incalculable number of lives during her time with us. Her quick smile, understanding ear, and ready wit will never be replaced.Trish is survived by Michael Bilcik, her beloved husband of 34 years; step-daughter, Toni Jacaruso and husband Bill of Round Rock, TX; brother, Steve Haggart and wife Betty of Crested Butte, CO; brother, Ted Haggart and wife Nancy of Lawrence, KS; seven nieces and nephews; eight grand-nieces and nephews; and her much-loved Shih Tzu, Lizzy. During her illness, Trish maintained her feisty spirit and constantly expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of love from so many. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, December 6, 2012, at the United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd, Yukon, OK, under the direction of McNeil's Funeral Service, Mustang, OK.
