Omaha, NE. Passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in Texas while traveling home from their winter home in Mesa, AZ. He was born April 30, 1926 at West Point, NE to the late Herman and Augusta Buchholz. Served in the Army in the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1952 and proudly received a purple heart. Retired USDA meat inspector. He was a member of the Millard American Legion Post 374 and King of Kings Lutheran Church. He was also an avid and longtime Nebraska Cornhusker Football fan and season ticket holder. Preceded in death by parents; son, Brad; brothers, DeForest and Herman. Survived by wife, Melva; children, Robin (Jack) Judman of Katy, TX, Barry (Jolene) Buchholz of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Alise (Dave) Roza of Omaha; grandchildren, Chad (Melissa) Buchholz, Jay (Sara) Buchholz, Adam (Shannon) Buchholz, Josh (Julie) Judman, Jordan Judman, Paul Roza, and Alan Roza; step grandchildren, Tammy (Jeff) Koepfler and Tony Roza; great grandchildren, Anna, Ava, Greta, Ella, Sophia, Blake, Brooklyn; step great grandchildren, Lily and Xander; and two on the way soon.
