Age 85, Omaha, passed away Tuesday, Oct 1, 2013, surrounded by his wife of 60 years, five daughters and son. When family and friends think of Harold, they'll fondly remember his devotion to the hobbies he loved. Never missing a Husker football game, spending hours in his garden, golfing, placing his bet at the horse track, attending daily Mass, scooping the perfect bowl of ice cream, and traveling the world with his wife, family and friends. Harold attended South High and enlisted in the Coast Guard. He graduated from UNL and worked at Northwestern Bell. Committed to service to his city, Harold volunteered for the Kiwanis club, his church, Boy Scouts, his children's sports teams, and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a supporter of Omaha's many cultural attractions and a founding member and officer of the Eastern Nebraska Golf Association.
Harold is survived by his wife, Geraldine "Gerry" Dibelka; daughters: Sharon Davison (Allen), Donna Bigelow (Gary), Janet Nicola, Lori McMillan (Gregory), Jaclyn McKeever (Shann); son, Richard Dibelka; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; stepbrother, Thomas Bell. Harold was preceded in death by his son, Thomas; parents, Florence Bell and Joseph Dibelka; and brother, Raymond.
Memorials to St. Robert Bellarmine School or Siena/Francis House.
VISITATION begins Thursday, 4pm with VIGIL SERVICE to follow at 7pm at the West Center Chapel. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Friday, 10am, St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. Interment, Calvary Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #1. HEAFEY-HEAFEY-HOFFMANN
