Albert Bracewell Seed was born in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Harry Seed and Emily Riley Seed. Albert grew up mainly in Southern California and graduated from Fairfax High. At the age of 17 he joined the U.S. Navy. In 1950 he graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Al then began a career in aerospace that lasted nearly 40 years.
In 1953 Al married Lois Condee with whom he had five children. The Seed family lived in West Los Angeles where Al was active in the community. He was a member of the Stanford Alumni Association Board and a Stanford Associate. He also served as the President of the Brentwood Homeowner's Association.
After retiring to San Clemente in 1987 Al enjoyed sailing, woodworking, bicycling, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Al lived a full active life and will be remembered for his integrity, sharp intelligence and practical nature.
He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years Lois, and by his children: Marie Seed Lichauco, John Seed (Linda), Alison Seed-Araujo (Carlos), Pamela Kimbrough (Guy) and Janet Balekjian (Gary). He leaves 13 grandchildren: Jaime, Cristina and Francesca Lichauco, Chloe, Evan and Condee Seed, Riley Araujo, Victoria, William, Edward and Arthur Kimbrough, and Albert and Karina Balekjian, as well as two great-grandchildren, Cedar and Araxie Boughazian.
Family services will be private. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
