Lutman Jr., Charles Anthony, of Anaheim, California, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in his home after a brave two year battle with cancer. |
Born in Edmunds, ND on October 21, 1949 to Charles and Mamie Lutman. Charles grew up in Pingree, ND and graduated from Pingree High School in 1967. He joined the army in 1969 and served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. Charles earned several medals during his service, including the Purple Heart. Charles was a dedicated, hardworking man who held many jobs including moving houses for Carrington House Movers and Snow House Movers and driving truck and heavy hauling for Almas International and Contractor's Cargo. He was revered as a master in all trades. Charles enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and enjoying a few "cold ones" at the "watering hole".
Charles is survived by his daughters, Amanda and her husband Mike Bogart of Fullerton, CA and Janell and her husband Mike Cascia of Stanton, CA; step children, Angela Hoppe of Anaheim, CA, Barbara and her husband John Flaharty of Garden Grove, CA, Steve and his wife Lori of Alice, ND, and Keith and his wife Tani of Long Beach, CA; seven siblings, Phyllis Scheck of Antioch, IL, Gerald and his wife Lois Lutman of Carrington, ND, Joan Chaney of Jamestown, ND, Lavonne and her husband Jim Budd of Osprey, FL, Jenny Rundblad of Austin, TX, Neil and his wife Della of Williston, ND, Russell Lutman of Anaheim, CA; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and dearly loved friends.
A Memorial Service honoring Charles was held in Bellflower, CA on Saturday, January 25th.
