CONNIE PATRICIA GAGLIARDO Obituary
Gagliardo, Connie Patricia, resident of San Clemente, left our world to enter God's Kingdom on July 30, 2013. She was surrounded by her immediate family as she passed. Connie's diagnosis of cancer began late January, 2013 and ended abruptly on July 30. Connie's zest for life, love of family and friends, traveling, music, reading, chocolate and leopard print is known by all those closest to her. She is deeply loved as a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. I see the world in a new light now that you are gone. Connie you are the sunrises and sunsets, the moon and the stars, the land and the sky, you are my best friend, someday my darling wife I again will be by your side.

Connie was born in Long Beach, California on February 22nd, 1959, the daughter of Leonard Anderson, deceased and Erdice Pebley of Anaheim. Connie left behind three children Sierra P. Stalcup, student at UC Berkeley, Skyla L. Stalcup, student at San Clemente High School and step-daughter Sydney C. Gagliardo, student at Point Loma, Nazarene University. Connie attended Cypress College where she earned her Registered Nursing degree; she went on to complete her bachelor's degree at CSU Fullerton, and then her masters in Nursing Administration at UCLA. Connie was married to Joseph A. Gagliardo on 10-10-10 where they confessed their love in Las Vegas, Nevada. She has two brothers, James Anderson of Dallas, Texas and John Gust Anderson of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Connie spent the majority of her working career for the past 26 years in Mission Hospital, St. Joseph Health, as a registered nurse in the ICU and a trauma system coordinator, the most previous 8 years as the Executive Director of Critical Care and Trauma services. Connie has spent her entire working career furthering the field of nursing in the areas of traumatic brain injury and trauma. Connie contributed to the local communities by establishing the Safe Rides chapter in South Orange County to help deter our youth from drinking and driving. She was a member of the Valiant Women's Organization, founder of ATCN (Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses). She received Mission Hospital's Vision Award, Justice Award, and most recently the Inspirational Nurse Leader Award. Connie's passion was for life and she lived life to its fullest.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; three children, Sierra, Skyla and Sydney; her mother, Erdice (Pat) Pebley; 2 brothers, James and John; step mother, Gloria Anderson; step brothers and step sisters, James Felton, Jay Arenson, Pearl Arenson, Connie Jimenez, Cheryl Yoak, Rita Smith, Steve Pebley, Linda Gibbs, Marie Acheson, and Chuck Davis (deceased)

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 10th at 10 am at Saint Edwards the Confessor Catholic Church in Dana Point, California.
