GEORGE GILBERT VALENTINE Obituary
Valentine, George Gilbert, a long time resident of Tustin, passed away Sunday, February 10th at the age of 82. He was a loving husband, father and was also a proud and loving " Pop Pop".

George was born in Trenton, New Jersey on September 1, 1930; he was the oldest of three children. After graduating from Gainesville High School in Gainesville Florida he joined the United States Coast Guard and served as radioman from 1949 to 1952. He married the love of his life, Lois May Hart Valentine in 1952. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Throughout George's professional career he worked in the aerospace industry, retiring from Northup Grumman. His career moved his family from New Jersey, to Cumberland Maryland, to Salt Lake City Utah and finally to Tustin California. He was a master wood craftsman and has crafted many fine pieces of furniture that his family cherishes. George was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons in Trenton New Jersey and Tustin California.

George will be greatly missed by all those that he touched throughout his 82 years of life, as he had a lasting impact of all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Lois May Valentine and four children. Sharon Shipley and her husband John, George Valentine Jr. and his wife Tammy, Robin Hilsabeck and her husband Paul, and Gregory Valentine and his wife Susan. He had 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Friday, February 22nd at Fairhaven Mortuary in Santa Ana, California. Visitation 10 to 12:00 pm, service at 12:30 with committal to follow.
