Later he began biking long distances including one trip from Fountain Valley up to Hearst castle, and back several to San Diego to visit family and a ride to San Francisco. Among the many hobbies he enjoyed over the years where rock hounding in the California deserts, coin and stamp collecting as a young man and gardening.

Jack as a father wanted to always pass on and teach whatever information he could impart. We all have a love of the outdoors and gardening from our father. He will be missed.
