Boland, Robert Paul, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on December 27th, 1923, passed away; very suddenly, on August 25th, 2013.|
He Graduated from Cedar Rapids High School in 1943. Served in the Army Air Corps during World War II from 1943 to 1946. After serving, he graduated from Des Moines University as a CPA. Started a Dairy Milk business with several trucks. The family moved from Iowa, to Missouri, Arizona and finally settled in California.
Robert enjoyed many activities with family and friends, including camping, boating, fishing, water skiing and traveling across country in the Motorhome.
Bob was preceded in death by his children: Marsha, Gary, Michael and Sherry, and their mother Dorothy. He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine, of 31 years and eight children: Donna, Patrick, Joanne, Deborah, Barbara, Jacquelyn, Judith and Jane. They have twenty six grandchildren and thirty one great-grandchildren. Robert is also survived by several relatives in Texas, Iowa and Minnesota.
He was a member of: The American Legion Post 0132, in Orange County, California and The Elks Lodge, #1952, in Garden Grove, California.
The Memorial Service will be held at the West Anaheim United Methodist Church, 2045 W. Ball Rd., Anaheim, California, on Saturday, September 21st, 2013 at 10:30 AM.
