Steve was born May 24,1943 in Los Angeles. His childhood years were spent in the North Hollywood area. In his early teens Steve and his parents moved to Turkey while his father worked for the United States State Department.

Steve received his Master's Degree in Public Administration in 1967. He began his professional career working for the City of Santa Ana. Steve loved spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed visiting the family cabin in the Alta Sierra Mountains and was a huge sports fan. He was an enthusiastic UCLA Bruin fan and held football season tickets for 40 years. He was always emotionally invested in their success. He never missed one of his sons' games, always finding a way to be there. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date this spring. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Parkinson's research in his name.
