Horton, Victor Ramsey AKA Moose|
Vic wrote the first line o f his obituary. "Vic died peacefully surrounded by his loving family each taking turns holding the pillow."
He was born in in Albion, Ill on December 8 1926 to Nina and Clearance Horton and died on November 8, 2013.
Vic is survived by his wife, Lynn; two sisters, Marilyn and Donna. He was predeceased by a brother, Troy and grandchild, Brady. Vic is also survived by 8 children and 19 beloved grandchildren.
Vic was one funny guy. He was a prolific emailer of tasteless joke, he became an avid texter in very large font, and best of all he was kind and loving and attentive to each and every family member and his friends. Vic always made everyone feel that he/she was the most important person at that moment. He had special jokes with each grandchild and they loved it. He could blow his stack and drive like an old man better than anyone else.
Vic served in the Navy during World war II, graduated from the University of Illinois in 1950 and worked for National Gypsum company for 38 years. In retirement he golfed and babysat and was the go to guy for everyone.
Rest in God's peace, Poppa Moose. You are in our hearts forever.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday December 14 at 4PM at St. Wilfird's Episcopal Church in Huntington Beach. Dress is Reyn Spooner/Hawaiian shirts.
