WILBUR A. DAY Obituary
Day, Wilbur A. (06/10/20-08/13/13)

Will Day was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, the elder of two children. He attended New York University where he studied engineering and enrolled in the ROTC. Will's sister introduced him to Marjorie Jean Wilson in St. Albans, New York and on January 1, 1943 they married; they were married for 60 years.

Shortly after they married, Will went off to war as a Lieutenant in the Army Air Corps. He flew B-24s over Germany during the war and later flew in the Berlin Air Lift, bringing food and supplies to the people of Germany. He became a test pilot for the Air Force, served in the Judge Advocate General's office, and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1963. Moving his family to California, he began his second career as a Program Manager with Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach until his retirement in 1993. During that time he had attended law school at night, graduating from Western State University in 1974. Upon retiring from Douglas, he embarked upon his third career as an attorney with the firm of Day, Day and Brown, joining his wife Marjorie and eldest son Christopher. Will worked at the firm for nearly 20 years and continued to go to the office every day until 2011. Throughout his life he held firmly to his central values of hard work, duty and responsibility, conservative political views and patriotism.

Will is survived by his four children and 7 grandchildren. He will be buried with full military honors at the National Cemetery in Riverside on August 26th. A memorial service will be held in Munzing Hall at Trinity Presbyterian Church on September 6th at 1:00 p.m. Saddleback Chapel - Tustin
