Bill Youngblood Notice
Youngblood, Bill a lifelong resident of West Orange County passed away peacefully on March 16, 2014. He was born on December 26, 1925 in Ocoee, Florida. He graduated from Ocoee High School in 1942. He attended Orlando Junior College. In 1943 he joined the U.S. Navy and served in World War II serving aboard the USS Thuban. After the war years, he entered the University of Florida where he earned his degree in Business Administration. He started his long career in the Citrus Industry at Youngblood & Sons becoming Executive VP of Silver Springs Citrus, elected President of the Florida Citrus Processors Association, acted as Chairman of Citrus Central Inc. and served as Chairman of the Florida Citrus Commission. He was a Founding Member of West Orange Country Club. He was a avid University of Florida Football fan. He was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Winter Garden. Bill is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gloria, daughters Susan Hodge (Mark), Sallie Youngblood, Sarah Youngblood, Billie Ruth Snell (Roy), brothers Carroll Youngblood, Lewis Youngblood, sister Agnes Foote (Eddie), grandchildren Mark Hodge, Jr. (Amy), Billy Hodge (Christine), Matthew Hodge (Paula), Jason Youngblood (Jennifer), Gloria LaGiorgia, Elena LaGiorgia and nine great grandchildren. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 2:00PM at the First United Methodist Church of Winter Garden . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Winter Garden, 125 E. Lakeview Avenue, Winter Garden, FL 34787.
