Horace Palmer Robinson Notice
Robinson, Horace Palmer 80, of Orlando, FL, died peacefully on December 10 after a brief battle with cancer. Horace was born on April 6, 1933 in Littleton, NC, the son of Lillian Moore Robinson and Horace Palmer Robinson. Horace was a passionate sports fan and lifetime supporter of the North Carolina Tarheels and Washington Redskins. Horace graduated from The McCallie School in Chattanooga, TN and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill with a degree in business. Horace was a member of Zeta Psi Fraternity. He served in the US Marine Corps where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. Horace was a real estate broker and enjoyed residential and commercial real estate in Orlando. Horace was a proud member of the Society of Cincinnati, Kiwanis of South Orlando and a generous contributor to the Central Florida Blood Bank. Horace belonged to the Cathedral Church of St. Luke and was blessed with 53 years of marriage to his wife, Emily. A devoted family man, he is survived by his wife Emily Wagner Robinson, his two daughters, Lee Robinson Kaplan (Mrs. Bernard), of Houston, TX and Blair Robinson Koger (Mrs. Kim), of Tequesta, FL. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Kim, Mallory, Kyle, Palmer and Robinson and two sisters, Blair Beasley (Mrs. Wood), Colerain, NC and Cordelia Tyler (Mrs. James), Edenton, NC and was predeceased by sister Ann Hawfield (Mrs. Mason), Littleton, NC. A private family service will be held at the Cathedral Church of St. Luke on Monday, December 16 followed by a reception for friends and family at Dubsdread Golf Club (549 West Par St.) from 12-2. In lieu of gifts and flowers, a donation in Horace's memory may be made to MD Anderson (www.mdanderson.org) or the Cathedral Church of St. Luke (www.stlukescathedral.org).
