Knox Miller Jr. Notice
Miller, Jr., Knox 87, was born on February 8, 1927 in Louisiana where his father was an MD at the National Board of Health. Because of his father's service they moved frequently. Knox spent most of his childhood in San Antonio and Austin, Texas. A WWII Veteran, Knox served in the Coast Guard at Point Arena, CA. Knox attended Florida State University where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order social fraternity and Sigma Xi, the scientific research society - a science honorary. After receiving his PhD from FSU he was employed by the Navy Civil Service in California and Orlando as a human factors engineer. Knox and Pat, his wife of 53 years enjoyed traveling to Europe several times. They lived in California for five years and enjoyed traveling throughout the country. He helped plan trips for others, enjoyed collecting z scale trains, going to Home Shows, plays, musicals and decorating for special holidays and entertaining. Knox was a Methodist. A memorial service is planned at a later date in Jacksonville. Memorials may be made to animal rescue or to favorite charities
