Mobley Sara Notice
Sara, Mobley SARA I. MOBLEY, retired hospital executive, died on Thursday, February 20 while visiting Myrtle Beach, SC. A true Southern Belle, Sara was born in Umatilla, FL, to parents Owen and Carolyn Green. She graduated from Orlando High School in 1947 and attended Orlando Junior College. She began her career in healthcare as a clerk/typist in the Supply Department at Orange Memorial Hospital, now known as Orlando Health. She rose in ranks to Director of Purchasing and Corporate Director of Materials Management, leaving that position in 1978 to become Director of Purchasing at Winter Park Memorial Hospital. Sara remained active locally in many organizations. She is a former member of Civitan International and later joined the Lake Buena Vista Rotary Club. She was a Board Member of Crime Line, member of the UCF Town and Gown Committee, and former Board Member of Florida Executive Women. Sara was a member of Park Lake Presbyterian Church and also attended Broadway Methodist Church. Sara is predeceased by her parents, her brother, Ray Green, and her husband, Leonard Mobley. She is survived by two sisters, Lois Bernard, Orlando, FL and Lee Murtha of Zellwood, FL. She was also a devoted and loving aunt to Debbie Chambers, Becky Broughton, Lesa Hudnall, Sara Sapp, Joe Bernard, Gay Aaron, Diane Iacone, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Sara is also survived by special companion and travel partner, Garth Walker. Sara and Garth will be remembered as a special, loving couple. She was an elegant, classy lady who will be dearly missed by both family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Park Lake Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Park Lake Presbyterian Church.
