It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather, François Edouard Lacourse, on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 in his 90th year at the Pontiac Reception Centre with his family by his side. Loving husband of Yvette Asselin and the late Marie Sicard. Cherished father of Philippe (Jean Kearns), Diane (Pierre Contant) and Robert (Lyse-Ann Gregory). Proud Grandpa of Addison, Samantha, Marie-Michelle and Naomi. He was the son of the late Godefroy Lacourse and Juliette St-Louis. Survived by 3 sisters, Jacqueline (late Maurice Racette), Gabrielle (late Bruno Lalonde), Marie-Therese (late Jean-Marc Fitzbach), and 1 brother, Louis (late Maureen Owens). Predeceased by 4 sisters, Sister Godefroy (Gertrude), Sister Adele (Adela), Jeannette, Monique (Andre Trottier) and 3 brothers, Jean-Marie (Regina Quinn), Paul Emile (Germaine Chartrand), and Rodolphe. Friends may call at W. J. Hayes & Sons Funeral Home, 134 Centre St., Shawville, Quebec on Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Anne's Church, Calumet Island, Quebec on Monday at 11 a.m. A special thank you to Dr. Talko and the nurses and staff of Pontiac Reception Centre for their loving care.
