Veteran WWII
Passed away on July 8, 2014 at the Perley Rideau Veterans' Health Centre. He was the cherished husband for 68 years to Norah Dorothy (nee Osborn), dear father of Brenda Morris (Ed) of Red Deer, Alberta, Dennis (Samruay) of Calgary, Alberta, Karen Smith (Bob) of Silton, Saskatchewan and Bunny Goodman (Rob Haseloh) of Nanaimo, B.C. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, two great-grandsons, a brother Earl Goodman (Gatineau) and sister Doris Sarple (John) of Toronto. He was predeceased by his sister Margaret Millar. He was retired from Surveys & Mapping Branch of Energy Mines & Resources, was an Overseas Veteran of 425 Alouette Squadron RCAF, Charter Member 410 Wing RCAF Association and a Member of Branch 480 Royal Canadian Legion. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Ave. at Richmond Rd. Thursday, July 17, 2014 after 12:30 p.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 2 p.m. The family wish to thank the staff on Rideau 2 South of Perley Rideau Veterans' Health Centre for their assistance and compassion throughout the past years. Memorial donations to the Perley Rideau Veterans' Health Centre or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
