Passed away suddenly and peacefully with his loving family at his side on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital in his 89th year. Born September 5, 1925 in Spragge, Ontario. Beloved husband of Priscilla (née Ayers) for 64 years. Son of the late Margaret (née McGregor) and Alfred Carr. Loving father of sons, Allen (Kathy), Brian (Linda), Kevin (Lorna) and daughter, Deborah. Cherished and proud Papa to grandchildren, Amanda, Erin and Adam. Dear Uncle Len to many nieces and nephews. Survived by his sister, Ramona and predeceased by his brothers, Francis (Jean) and Ronald. He will be missed by many friends. Len served in the R.C.A.F. during WWII with No.6 Bomber Command and No. 127 Wing, Fighter Command in England and the Continent. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 100 Young Street, Ottawa, Ontario followed by a reception in the Church hall. Inurnment at Hope Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
