Passed away at his home on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at age 96. Beloved husband of the late Catherine (Carr). Dear father of the late Robert John Martin. Son of the late John Cameron Martin (MARTIN ON LAW) and Laura Snyder of Weyburn, Saskatchewan, and brother of the late Mary Martin Cocker (late Robert M Coker Jr.) Leaving nieces Maureen Irving (Ed), Karan O'Reilly (late Phil), Rosann Graham (Ron), Mary Bett Britt (Gerald) and nephews Paul Gervais (Sharon), Robert Coker (Judy) of the U.S.A. Bob was an outstanding athlete from his Olympic caliber swimming in 1938 in Saskatchewan, to his later tennis, golf and curling exploits. His Government career at Agriculture Canada and his war service as part of the Canadian War Crimes Tribunal in Japan took up his time until retirement. Then he went on to full time golf and curling ect. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at the Ottawa Curling Club, 440 O'Connor Street, Ottawa on Saturday May 24, 2014 from 1-4 p.m. Memorial donation to the Elisabeth Bruyere Pavillion or to the
