BLUGER, Ruth Anna (Mallory)
Born January 28, 1920. Passed away peacefully at Victoria General Hospital, Victoria, B.C. on February 11, 2014 at the age of 94. The loving mother of Marianne [Deceased] (Larry), Francis (Bob), Thomas (Clarissa) and Henry (Michel); beloved grandmother of Michael, Agion (Carl), Jessica and Lee; great-grandmother of Anna and Lucy. Ruth will be fondly missed by her family and friends. Ruth loved the humanities: McGill University Alumni; Masters from Bryn Mawr- magna cum laude, Degree in Library Science from Ottawa University, French language medal recipient, modern dance, basket ball, church organist and traveller. Ruth loved to pick berries make preserve and work in the garden. Ruth was deeply committed to and loved the First Nations People of Canada. She was proud to be a reporter for Akwesasne Notes and The Spectern. Interment is private at Point Clair, Quebec.
