He was born in Beaver Township, Bay County, on Nov. 21, 1931, to Floyd Otis and Laura May (Bedell) Gary. He married the former Brenda Mularz, at St. Brigid Church in Midland, on June 16, 1956, and they had 56 wonderful years together.

Since 2001, Harry and Brenda have enjoyed "life on the lake" by living on Wixom Lake on the Tobacco River side in Beaverton. During the summer, Harry enjoyed having his children and grandchildren at the "cabin" enjoying boating, swimming and jokes around the campfire. During the long cold Michigan winters, Harry and Brenda were snowbirds and travelled to Florida to be with their friends at the Florida Camp Inn. He belonged to the Florida Camp Inn Horseshoe Club where he pitched two perfect games. During the summer months, Harry enjoyed playing golf with his buddies at all the local golf courses. He leaves a loving legacy no one will forget.
