Susan Hunemorder Dirks died on June 29, 2013. She was born Jan. 28, 1950, the daughter of Elwood and Helen (Haley) Hunemorder. She attended Midland Public Schools and graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in sociology, psychology and anthropology. While there she was a member of the MSU Women's Glee Club. She continued to pursue her education by completing a Masters of Business Administration degree from MSU in 1982. Part of the program involved studying in Sweden.

Susan was the employment coordinator at Mid-Michigan Medical Center. She also worked for the Visiting Nurse Association and Michigan Works. She was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church. Susan was involved with Leadership Midland, Shelterhouse, and many other community organizations.

Surviving Susan is her sister, Ann H. Moore of Traverse City; and cousins, Janice Hobbs, Ron Hunemorder, John Prewozniak, Joan Rickard, Jim Prewozniak and Michael Maasberg.

Funeral services will be held in the parlor of the Memorial Presbyterian Church, Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Wallace H. Mayton III officiating. Visitation will take place from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow immediately in Midland City Cemetery.
