Eugene O'Brien Obituary
EUGENE O'BRIEN Gene O'Brien was born November 11th on Veteran's Day in 1935. He proudly served as an Engineman in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, including the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Vietnam War. He then worked for the U.S. Navy in Civil Service as a Public Works Foremen for another 20 years. Gene and his wife, Pamela, loved to travel, touring the U.S. in an RV fulltime for three years. They then built their own home on an acre in Homeland, CA. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, spending time with family, volunteering in the community, and part-time work at an Equipment Auction Company in Perris, CA. He continued to travel, taking 9 cruises, and living the resort life at least 6 times a year. Gene will be greatly missed by his family - wife, son, daughter, son-in-law, grandson, his wife's family, his brother and sister and his community. He was truly an American Hero who served his country until he passed away September 3, 2013 from a service disability. To honor and celebrate his life, committal services will take place at the Riverside National Cemetery Friday, September 13th at 10:00.
