FRED WILLIAM BUEKER FEBRUARY 10, 1936-DECEMBER 14, 2012 Fred entered in to Eternal Life, Friday, December 14th, at home, with his loving family by his side. His passing followed a long struggle with heart and kidney problems. Thanks to many Doctors and Staff at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, CA and Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, CA where Fred received his heart transplant, we were able to have an additional 40 years together as a family. He is preceded in death by his brothers, John, Larry & David. He is survived by his wife Darlene of 54 years and children, Denise Slaton and Mark Bueker; grandson, Bryan Slaton; brother, Kenneth Bueker (Sally) and sister Kathy Youngblood (Joe), nieces and nephews. He was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa, Graduated from Davenport High School in 1954; Fred served in the United States Navy aboard the Destroyer, USS Massey from 1955 - 1957; Attended and graduated from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in 1962. For the majority of his career, Fred was an Industrial Engineer in the Aluminum Indusry, working for Alumax in Riverside, CA. A Celebration of Fred's Life and Wade's gift of life, that gave Fred an additional 15 years with his family, will be held at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 13600 Nason Street, Moreno Valley, CA 92555 on Thursday, December 27th at 11:00am with Pastor Chuck Malloch officiating. Reception following. In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Donation can be made to Fred W. Bueker Memorial Fund at Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
