Robert Cameron Roark Obituary
ROBERT CAMERON ROARK Robert passed away August 2, 2013 following a long battle with congestive cardio-myopathy. He was born January 11, 1931 in San Diego, CA to A.T. and Virginia Goode Roark, whom he now rejoins along with siblings Marion and A.T. (Thad) Roark Jr. A graduate of San Diego State University, "Bob" was an independent So. Cal. insurance broker dearly loved by his clients and listed in "Who's Who in the World". Always an active volunteer, Bob served in AYSO Soccer, Lions and Rotary Clubs. He was a U.S. Coast Guard Auxillary Reserve Commander. In addition, Bob published newsletters for insurance, genealogical and service club organizations. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lois Maynard Roark. A retired R.N. Lois sadly suffered a devastating stroke immediately prior to Bob's passing. The couple enjoyed traveling the world after raising their children Cynthia, Susan, and Robert Roark and Kellie Roark Wilson, who mourn his passing. He also leaves daughter-in-law Jennifer and grandchildren Caitlyn, Breanna, Melissa and Sierra Roark and Whitney and Taylor Wilson, as well as sister-in-law Anita Roark. Bob joins son-in-law Edward Wilson in God's kingdom. A service celebrating Bob's life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Church of Christ, 26701 McCall Blvd,, Sun City/Menifee, CA.
