PRINCEVILLE - Alvin Stuart Rasmussen, 45, of Princeville died at 10:50 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.

Alvin was born Oct. 21, 1967, in Peoria, the son of Milton E. and Janet K. Hohenbery Rasmussen.

Surviving are his mother, Janet K. Rasmussen of Princeville; three brothers, Terry (Timie Sue) Rasmussen of Princeville, Trent Rasmussen of Springfield and Milton Jr. (Nanette) Rasmussen of Columbia, Mo.; nephews, Eric (Susanna) and Gregory; nieces, Melissa (Wyatt), Kirsten, Nicole and Amanda; great-nieces, Rebecca and Grayce; and great-nephews, Patrick and Ethan.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Alvin was a graduate of Farmington East High School.

He worked 27 years at EP!C (Empower People, Inspiring Capabilities), which was formerly PARC.

Alvin was a No. 1 Chicago Bears fan. He loved bowling and took claim to being the best bowler in his family. He participated in Special Olympics and will always be "21" to all who knew him. Alvin never met a stranger. He loved life and was an ambassador of goodwill.

He was a member of Princeville Presbyterian Church, where funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013. The Rev. Jacob Puckett and Mike Martin will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to funeral services at the church. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery.
