ROME - Cole E. Davis, 33, formerly of Rome and Moline, died Sunday, July 13, 2014.
Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to an education fund for his daughter, Mena Davis, at any IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union location or sent to Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home in Rock Island to be forwarded to the family.
Cole was born Aug. 16, 1980, in Peoria, the son of Thomas and Amy Jobe Davis. He married Asa Naab, the mother of his daughter, Mena, and later married Amanda Orton.
He graduated from Moline High School and was self-employed as a guitar instructor. Cole attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Gilbert, Ariz., and had written a music score which was used by the UCLA film department.
He was an avid musician, artist and composer. Cole also enjoyed fishing and was a Yankees fan, but his greatest love was for his daughter, Mena, whom he adored, and for his nephews.
Cole is survived by his wife, Amanda of Rome, Ill.; his precious daughter, Mena of Bettendorf; stepson, Levi Sparks of Rome; parents, Tom and Teri Davis of Coal Valley and Amy and Steve Frahm of Princeton, Iowa; sister and brother-in-law, Lauren and Kenny Cook of Atkinson; stepsister, Brittany Frahm of Princeton; nephews, Parker Traman and Kemper and Ryker Cook, all of Atkinson; grandparents, Bob and Betty Davis of Peoria, Shirley Jobe of Macomb, Dee Bennett Krosch of Rock Island and Kay and Jim Frahm of Clinton, Iowa; father-in-law and mothers-in-law, Pam Orton of Chillicothe, Ill., and Rich and Connie Orton of East Peoria, Ill.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Don Jobe, and stepgrandfathers, Larry Bennett and Duane Krosch.
