peoria - Daniel P. Biederbeck, 77, of Peoria passed away at 3:11 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
Daniel was born on July 25, 1935, in Peoria to Wilfred L. and Lillian J. (Wener) Biederbeck. He married Mildred A. Landers on Feb. 6, 1960, in Earlville, lll. She survives.
He is also survived by his daughter, Maggie (John) Etherton of St. Peters, Mo; three sons, Tom (Nancy) of Tempe, Ariz., Jim of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Charlie of Peoria; and six grandchildren, Carlin, Riley and Brady Biederbeck and Kimmie, Matt and Kelly Etherton.
Daniel served in the United States Army. He worked in sales, for 36 years at Klaus Radio Inc. and then for 15 years at Financial Supply Inc. in Bloomsdale, Mo., until his retirement in 2008.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and its men's club. He was a member of the Order of Alhambra, the Knights of Columbus, Spalding Council 427, Third Degree, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 20, and the Sandtrapper Golf League.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Father Donald Henderson will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at the church. A Scripture service will follow at 7 p.m. An additional visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Wright & Salmon Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
