elmwood - Daniel Larson Fetgatter Jr., 68, of Pontiac, formerly of Elmwood, passed away Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at 7:45 a.m. at Asta Care Center in Pontiac.
A memorial Mass will be held Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pontiac. Father Peter Zorjan will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Pontiac at a later date. Friends may call on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac.

Daniel was born on Nov. 10, 1945, in Centralia, Ill., the son of Daniel L. and Mary E. (Mulvaney) Fetgatter. He married Karen Winterbauer on Dec. 30, 1967, in Springfield, Ill. She survives in Pontiac.
Also surviving are one son, Daniel (Holly Robbins) Fetgatter of Pontiac, Ill.; one daughter, Krista (Steven) Howland of Montgomery, Ill.; one brother, Walter (Joann) Fetgatter of San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Mary Beth (Edward) Graves of Warsaw, Ind.; and three grandchildren, Nolan Fetgatter, Lily Fetgatter and Kenzie Fetgatter, all of Pontiac, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Philip Winterbauer; and sister-in-law, Lori Smith.
Daniel attended Elmwood Grade School and Elmwood High School and graduated from the University of Illinois.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1969.
He was a sales manager for various locations of newspapers and radio stations.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Pontiac VFW Post 886 and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pontiac.
He was very active in youth sports, from coaching to umpiring. He enjoyed playing golf, reading books, and playing cards, especially euchre.
Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, Passages Hospice and Asta Care Center Activity Fund.
