BLOOMINGTON - David Michael Collins, 63, of Bloomington, formerly of Goodfield and West Palm Beach, Fla., died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at his home.
He was born Aug. 21, 1949, in Frederick, Md., to Francis O. and Mary K. (Doll) Collins. He was raised by his stepfather, Proctor F. Hardison. He married Jori B. Packard on June 6, 1999, in Princeville, Kauai, Hawaii.
Surviving are his wife, Jori Collins of Bloomington; one daughter, Charli Ann (J.R.) McNeal of Florida; two grandchildren; and his father, Proctor F. Hardison of West Palm Beach, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
He was a Vietnam War Air Force veteran.
David was a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service, retiring in Florida after 36 years of service. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Henry City Cemetery in Henry, Ill.
