MORTON - David A. White, 55, of Juneau, Alaska, formerly of Morton, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013.
He was born Nov. 23, 1957, in Peoria.
He is survived by his parents, Jim and Harriet White of Morton; two sisters, Sue (Joe) Loitz of Coral Springs, Fla., and Diane (Dennis Caffery) White of Hopedale; one nephew, Andrew Loitz of Coral Springs, Fla.; and one aunt, Jean White of Elgin, Ill.
David graduated from Morton High School in 1976. He then earned his degree in general engineering from the University of Illinois in 1981. He then worked for a couple of years with Halliburton in Oklahoma. He later earned his master's degree in petroleum engineering and then his law degree from Tulsa University.
He spent four years practicing law in the state of Texas.
David then moved to Alaska, where he lived for the past 21 years.
Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. There will be no visitation. Private family interment of the cremated remains will be in Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
